Question: Why should I buy from an independent agent instead of shopping online myself?

Answer:  Generally Independent insurance agents are individuals with a broad background in education, family, business, people skills and an overall commitment to your security and well being.  I've personally been an agent for 30 years and bring that experience to my clients.  I can guide them through the decision process when it comes to purchasing appropriate limits of coverage to suit their individual needs. I've counselled many of my clients not to over insure on some policies but then increase coverage in other areas to insure against a catastrophic event such as a unforeseen liability law suit.
